Honey – golden nectar of the Gods

In the rolling hills of the piedmont of North Carolina, our honeybees make their award winning honey from the nectar of a variety of flowers found in our region.  Always changing from year to year, the flavor is dependent on what plant or tree is blooming at the time honeybees forage for food.  You may find the rich, bold taste of tulip poplar honey or the light, sweet taste of clover.  During the spring bloom, our honey bees visit and collect pollen and nectar from our blueberry and apple orchards, wild and grown blackberries, wildflowers, and many tree varieties – tulip poplars, sourwoods, red maples, pears, and persimmons.
